employment history
June 2014 to present WM Morrison Supermarket
Lings Bar Road, Gamston. NG2 6PS
Whilst being employed at Morrisons, I have completed training enabling me to work in a variety of departments, including checkouts, self scan, cigarette and lottery kiosk and customer services. More recently, I have also been involved in training other members of staff on these departments. I have experience of serving customers, dealing with customer queries and complaints, handling payments and operating a till. I have also helped with special promotions and the displaying of products. These positions have developed my communication and team working skills, problem solving and working to deadlines. As a result, I am confident in providing excellent customer service and tactfully assisting members of the public.
Work experience
April 2016 BBC Radio Nottingham
London Road, NG2 4UU
During my visits to BBC Radio Nottingham, I spent time shadowing a producer during a weekend show. I observed the general production of the show, including taking audience calls, researching guests and topics and responding to social media activity. I also shadowed a presenter on a Saturday afternoon show. I observed the process involved in planning a show and how they conduct themselves professionally on air. I really enjoyed this opportunity and it has motivated me to pursue a career in this area.
June 2012 to present Nottingham Post
City Gate, Tollhouse Hill. NG1 5FS
In 2013 I was asked to write a monthly column for the Education pages of the Nottingham Post, after writing numerous opinion articles for the Youth pages in 2012.
I completed a week of work experience at the Nottingham Post in July 2014. During this time I interviewed members of the public (vox pops) and a headmaster of a primary school, about an end of year production. I also attended court cases and a local council meeting, which I found both interesting and insightful.
June 2015 Perfect 10 PR
